This lecture presents a critical ethical assessment of the current Islamic Banking System from text and context perspectives. The list of key speakers includes: Prof. Ali M. Al-Qurahdaghi, the Secretary General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars; Philip Molyneux, Professor of Banking and Finance and Dean of the College of Business, Law, Education and Social Science at Bangor University, North Wales, U.K.; Mohammad Fadel, Associate Professor of Law at the University of Toronto in Canada and Mohamed Umer Chapra, an outstanding scholar in Economics and one of the senior advisors at the Islamic Development Bank in Saudi Arabia.
